Barbara is the NBA’s Head of Social Responsibility where she leads the leagues social impact efforts. In this role, she works with NBA offices across the globe to utilize the convening power of basketball to execute thoughtful, community-driven strategies focused on sustainability, health equity and wellness, civic engagement, and social justice. 

Barbara is co-founder and board member of Global Health Corps (GHC), an organization that mobilizes young leaders to solve the world’s most pressing health issues. Bush and her co-founders are united by the belief that health is a human right and that their generation must build the world where this is realized. Since 2009, GHC has placed thousands of young young leaders on the front lines of health equity in East Africa, Southern Africa, and the United States, developing a cadre of creative, effective, and compassionate change makers. 

SHENA ASHLEY, CAPITAL ONE

As Vice President of Capital One Community Impact & Investment & President at the Capital One Insights Center, Shena is responsible for overseeing a broad group of data-driven capabilities that help enterprise and external stakeholders make smarter decisions that can lead to better outcomes for consumers and communities. These include data analytics, survey research, and big data algorithmic modeling to develop insights that are either applied and delivered through community programs.

Jorge L. Calderón, a 24-year banking veteran, joined Capital One Bank in 2006 and serves as Dallas Market Executive. He has been heavily involved in community activities since 1994, serving on the boards of the Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Hispanic Banking Association (Treasurer, Dallas chapter), the executive committee for Boy Scout Troop 712 (Treasurer), as well as Workforce Solutions of Greater Dallas, one of the largest non-profit agencies in the Metroplex. He currently serves on the boards of The Senior Source (Corporate Chair for the Spirit of Generations luncheon gala); The Business Council for the Arts; Dallas Metropolitan YMCA (Partners Campaign Captain); Executives in Action; and the Dallas Housing Finance Corporation.
